I borrowed a small table and set it up with 2 grow lights by the window. The grow lights are REALLY close to the seedlings which I think is how you’re supposed to do it. For now, they’re mostly keeping the soil a bit warm, …

Resolved Question: Growing seedlings: When do you put them under lights?
I am starting seedlings for a garden this spring, I have never done this before so specifics are much appreciated. So I sew the seeds (im using Jiffy starting flats w/ peatmoss) do they need the grow lights now? or just heat? Or do I wait till they poke up out of the soil then start with the grow lights for 14 hrs? Also the kit came with a cover, when do I use this (with lights?) what I’m growing: -Rosemary -Yellow Summer Squash -Plain Parsley -Genovese Basil -Sweet basil -Lettuce leaf basil -Roma Tomatoes -super boy hybrid 785 tomatoes -Teton Hybrid Spinach -California wonder peppers

Resolved Question: Is light from a light bulb bad for plants? (Not growing light)?
I don’t it makes a difference, but as a newbie at gardening, I thought I’d ask. I’m growing these plants inside right now due to cold weather, and it’s been raining a bit, too many clouds for real sunlight.
