Do LED Grow lights work?
Overall I hear they aren’t that great. My apartment has a westward facing window and I get about 2-3 hours of sunlight per day I was wondering if a LED grow light would help me grow more sunlight needing plants such as tomatoes.

Growing a dwarf citrus tree without a grow light?
I am in New Jersey and have two dwarf citrus trees (one Washington Navel Orange, and the other a Dancy Tangerine tree) and I am not going to blow over 100$ on a grow light. The trees themselfs coast me over 100$. Anyone know of any alternatives to grow lights? Rite now I have a flourecent light over the two of them, very close to the top of the trees, the trees are only 2 feet tall and are 3 years old and have yet to bloom or bear fruit. I am hoping to have them bloom as soon as possible and I think the problem may be due to the fact that they are’nt getting enough light. They have been in sun for most of their lifes and I just recently , a week ago, moved them to the flourecent light. Please, any alternatives are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Can a 400 watt halogen grow light over your head for about 10 hours a day cause any real damage?
I ask because my dad installed one of these beast grow lights in his office because it has no windows. I know there are desk lamps out there that simulate the sun but this light bulb is about 1ft long and the light fills up the whole room, it’s ridiculous! Basically should we be concerned?
What type of grow light would be best?
I’m planning on growing English Lavenders indoors, because the outdoor conditions would bad for them–lots of rain, moist soil, and little sun. Therefore I need to buy grow lights. Can anyone tell me what type of grow light would be best, and maybe what website I could buy it from (preferably for a reasonable price)?
Also, additional information would be nice, like how often I should turn it on, and how long it should be on for, how high above the plants it should be, etc.
